WHY ARMA?
ARMA’S Director worked as an authorised officer for over 12 years’ before forming the business. This involved working closely with cooling tower and warm water system owners, responsible persons and water treatment specialists. The skills and knowledge obtained included coordinating confirmed Legionella Pneumophila investigations while employed by State Government, performing countless cooling tower and warm water system audits while employed in Local Government, maintaining registers of high risk systems within the local authority, and providing advice to the public and businesses on Legionella risks and methods to reduce these.
This led our Director to identify a requirement in the industry for a specialised auditing service that is independent from the business owner, responsible person (operator), the water treatment specialist and the laboratory.
All our auditors as a minimum hold a:
- Environmental Health Degree
- Exemplar Global National Food Safety Auditor (NFSA) certification
- have extensive experience auditing cooling towers and warm water systems and
- have undertaken any required State Government training or approval process.
